The Hall is administered on behalf of the local community by the Milton of Campsie Village Hall Trust, the Trust is a registered Scottish Charity (SCO37687).
The Trust leases the Hall to regular as well as occasional users and all income is used to maintain the building and secure its long-term future. We have two part-time employees, a cleaner and a Booking Secretary. Everything is managed by a Management Committee, a group of volunteers drawn from the local community.
The Hall Trust holds its General Meeting on an annual basis. We are currently building up a Membership of users and people with an interest in the Hall.
We welcome input from all Members and anyone with an interest in the Hall. You might want to join our Management Committee and take an active part in keeping the Hall the valued facility that it always has been or you may be able to do small jobs to keep the building sound and comfortable. Importantly, we need you to continue to use the Hall in the same way that the community has for generations.
History of the Hall
The Hall Trust wishes to thank the local community for continuing to support and use the Hall. The strength of feeling when it seemed that the Hall may no longer be available to the village showed the value of the Hall to the villagers of Milton of Campsie. This strength of feeling continues and the Hall Trust is grateful to all in the local community for their backing.

History of the Hall
- The Hall was built in 1873 following donations of land and funds from local families.
- It was run by a local trust until 1971 when it moved to the management of Stirling Council.
- It continued in local authority hands until East Dunbartonshire Council closed it on Monday 22nd March 2004.
- The value of the Hall to the local community was clear from the strength of feeling at the possible loss of it. Public Meetings were very well attended by Villagers to discuss the best way of protesting against the closure. Eventually the Council handed the Hall over in October 2004 to a specially created Village Hall Trust including representatives of the Stirling family who had donated land in 1873.
